We’ve had out Hoover for almost a year and a half now. We were amazed at how well it worked, and very pleased. With three dogs and a toddler, it got some use, but we maintained it very well, giving it a thorough cleaning after each use. It still LOOKS new.

When the brushes would stop working, per the manual, we cleaned the screen, and it worked again. The last time they stopped working, no such luck. Google was our friend here. After a quick search, we learned that it was the turbine gears that had seized up. I took it apart to verify, yep, that was the culprit. This is due to poor design on Hoover’s part, and is a well known issue. Moisture gets in the area, rusts the bearing and it seizes. Great.

The warranty is for one year. Funny how things fall apart after the warranty… but only 1 year on a $150+ cleaner? Many sites also claim that Hoover won’t do anything about it. I figured I would call and see if that was the case. After 3 calls to customer service, we were told we were out of luck. Yep, they were aware of the issue, but they were able to wash their hands clean of it since it is over a year old.

We could take it to a repair center and get it done… at our expense. We could order the part from a repair center… at our expense, or we could buy a Bissel. Even though it is a well known issue, Hoover didn’t want to do anything about it. That is unfortunate. While it is a great product when it works, prepare yourself for a maintenance cost. The part costs about $45 (including shipping) to replace and only take you about 20 minutes. Nothing like adding 33% to the overall cost for maintenance.

Conversations with God : An Uncommon Dialogue by Neale Donald Walsch is a thought provoking book about one man’s relation with God. Walsch spends years writing down questions about religion and God on a legal pad. Out of the blue God starts answering them. It becomes quite complex at times. It’s just nice to see people are interested in what God has to say in this day and age.
If you’re so inclined, and want to read the messages God gave to a man who prayed 1,000,000 prayers than you definitely want to read this Great new book I found about faith, Jesus, God’s message and what we will do in the after-life entitled “The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone,” by John H. Eagan. It’s really fantastic and the message from God is just amazing. I think the readers of Walsch’s book will really enjoy The Enlightenment. I can’t recommend it enough!

I bought this for my wife. I’ve had mine for over a year I use it all the time. I just recently started having problems with the heart rate monitor. Ive replced the batteries but its still not working properly.

It almost vacuums by itself! The power is amazing. I was so impressed when I turned it on and I could watch the dust around where I was vacuuming getting pulled up and I wasn’t even vacuuming on the area it was sucking from. I love it. This is a really cool watch. I like the addition of the cadence sensor. The heart rate monitor fits great. But it is annoying waiting up to 5 minutes after going outdoors to retrieve the satellite. It is twice as annoying for work out buddies.

After seeing the great job the Furminator did on my friend’s dog, I decided to give it a try on my own dog. I had read reviews that warned about the blade cutting the hair but I was so impressed with the results I had seen firsthand, I got one anyway.

I have a Samoyed, a double-coated breed. I started with the Furminator and was disappointed at how little of the undercoat it actually removed. The teeth are not long enough to get through the undercoat and I saw that, along with the little undercoat it was pulling out, there were also long strands from the topcoat in the Furminator. After about 10 minutes I gave up. The Furminator just wasn’t effective at getting through her coat and I was concerned about damage to the topcoat. I went back to using my trusty undercoat rake, which is far more effective than the Furminator and doesn’t damage the coat.

I have seen good results with this product on other dogs, but do not recommend it for breeds with dense undercoats and silky topcoats.

Visiting friends in US for an extended period, so in order to cut down on luggage weight, wanted to order a charger to be delivered to my friend’s house.
I read some of the reviews here, and did think there was a chance that it would not work on my phone, but for such a bargain price, it was worth the chance.

Anyway, it arrived super quick, and just wanted to write a quick note, to again confirm that it does work on iPhone 3G with no probs at all.
What a bargain!!

I tried to order this product twice and each time it came with dead pixels. I am very disappointed. I gave up on this product and am looking for something else. Picture quality would have been fine. Do note that the contrast ratio is 450:1 so the color isn’t as vibrant as your monitor. However, I believe that it is customary in the digital frame market.
