I bought this to use with my Garmin Nuvi. I drive a Ford Expedition. It has a big flat dashboard. This bean bag (portable friction mount) works perfectly! When not in use, I grab it and set it down on the console out of sight. When I need it again, I set it back up on the dash board. It stays where you put it even in a panic stop. It does NOT move at all. While it is just a bit bulky, it seems to be the right size/weight/design to do the job intended without any flaws. What more could you ask for?

I had to calibrate twice, I did not stay on long enough the first time. I also had to stop shoving the scale around when cleaning the floor. I have 3 scales, and this is my first digital, and I like it alot. It’s very accurate! When I weigh myself before and after drinking coffee, the weight of the coffee is visible in the reading. The only thing I would change is to add to the instructional booklet a note about staying on the scale to calibrate until the C comes up, it can be a while, or it was for me.

The first time I heard about this book was about two or three years ago when my cousin told me this was “soooo gooood!” and I had to read it. I didn’t at first because I knew it was in the Young Adult section of the bookstore and I am always a bit iffy about that section.
Then, once the movie came out and there was this huge craze that followed, I definitely didn’t want to read the books because I try to not get sucked into all the hype.
This past Thanksgiving, I saw that another one of my cousins had the books and I asked her if I could borrow the first book so I could find out what all this mess was about. I definitely didn’t want to waste my money if the books turned out to be as dumb as I thought they would be.
So, on the car ride home I started reading … and reading… and reading … I found that I couldn’t put the book down! When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about the book and how I wished I could be reading. True this is no mind bending, life changing work of literature, but I found it to be quite addictive and I don’t know why!
As soon as I finished the first book, I ran out to Wal-mart and bought the other three books because I couldn’t wait to have them shipped to me from Amazon.
By the end of the next week, I had finished all the books!
I hate my self a little for getting sucked into these books, but I just found them so entertaining and addictive.

The Wii is what you expect. The graphics are good enough and the games so far are pretty fun. I do like that it has the weather and stuff on the main page.

YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I read it in no time since each page was better than the last. I laughed, I cried, and it reminded me of my childhood when I went to the circus. I recommended it to our book club and several friends.

This book takes a tough subject and treats it with the seriousness it deserves, but adds humor and charm. I enjoyed every page of the story and was sorry when the book ended.

This item is very useful because it allows us to quickly swap the Garmin Nuvi GPS from one car to the other. It is especially good that it can be placed on the dash where it can be seen without blocking either the instruments or view of traffic. Also, it can be easily moved to the right side for help with navigation by a passenger. It clings well. A window mount is not as practical because it places a GPS too far away, and also prevents use of a sun screen when the vehicle is parked.

I think this book deserves the praise it has gotten, if for no other reason than that it has drawn attention once again to civil rights issues, and the subtle (and not so) subtle ways that we can attempt to rationalize away bigoted views and behaviors. The fact that the author attempts to tell the story from the perspective of both African-American and white characters, and that she avoids painting any one individual as all-victim or all-perpetrator, is commendable and truthful. And yet at the same time, she shows how even seemingly little actions by just a few individuals can lead to big social changes.

She takes some hits in other reviews here for an ‘inauthentic’ dialect for the African-American characters. While I can’t speak to that personally, I did at times feel like some of the characters were a bit patronized and that made me uncomfortable. However, for me, even if that is the case, I think the strengths of the book override this issue, and I recommend this book to pretty much anyone.
