Road GMC Bike happy
Cyclists BEWARE.. I received my gmc denal road bike about a week and a half ago, the first day I received this bike the stock tubes blew out after about 20 minutes into riding, then the following day the kick stand on the bike snapped off
when GMC Road Bike was adjusted back up (not exagerating), and on top of these things the chain constantly slips and the brakes are horrible even when adjusted. And when riding one day the allen nut that hold the handle bars and the fork together loosened completely and almosty made me wreck.
I guess the saying is true “you get what you pay for”…I highly DO NOT recommend this bike to anyone, not even a begginer it is dangerous and a number of things go wrong with these bikes. So in conclusion I had to send this bike back after not even 2 weeks of riding it!? unbelievable.
Down with wal-mart bikes!
Can’t get any better for the price. I’ve gone and checked equivalent bikes at retail stores and specialty stores. The closest price I’ve encountered is around the $300 plus marker. The only negative I have is that if you want to add accesories like trip computers or lights there isn’t much room on the handlebars due to the Shimano hand-wheel type speed shifter located in the center around the stem. Very sturdy and light weight. I would recomend it without a doubt.

Excellent bike for the price. This is a very nice bike for the price. I’d be willing to pay as much as $200 for it… but don’t expect it to work like a $400 bike.
The bike easy to propel forward. I’ve maxed out the gears at 30mph (downhill, of course), so this is a great bike for the road. The bike also looks cool — I have a friend who paid $1500 for his bike, and is jealous of mine! (until I told him I got it from WalMart)
I had never used drop handlebars before, and was concerned how juggling breaks and gears would work, but to my surprise, it’s quite simple to slip one of my hands up onto the gears while my other hand remains on the drop break. The one problem I’ve had is when lifting my left hand to give a hand signal, and leaving my right hand on the drop break, I have a tendency swerve… but with practice, it’s getting better.
Finally, I adjusted the gears about a week ago, and they need another minor adjustment already (I hear a clicking noise when using the highest rear gear). Nothing major (it shifts great, just the clicking noise), but I suspect that I may need to fine-tune the gears a bit more often than I had hoped.
