DURAGADGET Laptop Water Resistance OK?

So I bought this book because I’ve seen it in stores/online/etc. I didn’t like it too much, I like Artemis and Butler but that’s about it. I bought the second to see if it was better than the first, it was. I bought the third to see if it was better than the second, it was. I bought the forth to see if it was better than the third, it was. And I bought the fifth because I liked the rest, and the fifth was awesome.

What I’m trying to get at is, don’t be turned off by the first, because THEY DO get better.

For so long I been playing my PS3 with the standard RCA composite cable, I went to stores and they were too expensive for me($30-$60.) Went to amazon seaching for cables and expecting a couple of bucks less than stores not $2.35. I saw great reviews so I decided to purchase them, they work great with my PS3. I could not believe that such a cheap cable could work and perform very well. I am satisfied with my purchase

I bought this book with high expectations after reading all the glowing review. I was disappointed as it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Ms. Gruen is a talented writer, and the book starts off well, but then travels into sappy “chick lit” territory, especially the ending.

However, the one thing that ruined this book for me was the depiction of mental illness. The character August is described as a paranoid schizophrenic. I am not a psychiatrist but I am a mental health professional and his symptoms sound closer to bipolar disorder. Also, August is cruel and violent, to say the least, when acutally most paranoid schizophrenics are NOT VIOLENT. Yes, I know it’s fiction and the author is free to take artistic license, but misconceptions about mental illness are common and this book only furthers them.

Lastly, I understand that the book is being made into a movie with Reese Witherspoon. I like Reese and even though I wasn’t crazy about the book, was thinking of going to go see it until I learned that Robert what’s-his-fang from the horrible “Twilight” series is playing Jacob Jankowski. Noooooooooooooo!

Where to get Laptop DURAGADGET Water Resistance

I bought Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student but the only part of it that I’ve really used is the Excel part. The software appears to be well written. When you add all the capabilities in it, I think it’s a very good deal for around $100.00. It’s got hundreds of built in mathematical, scientific, statistical, and financial functions. It allows you to build and work with tables of data in a manner similar to working with databases. You can do graphs. That’s a pretty sophisticated capability that allows you to show them in various formats. You can do scenarios and what if types of studies. The ability to generate and modify Pivot Table Reports on the fly is an amazing capability all by itself. I’m impressed and I haven’t even started to work with Word and Powerpoint yet. There’s even more. You can create and read XML files, import and export data from and to other databases, Publish Worksheets on the web so others can view them, print, share your workbook with other users, etc., etc., etc. What I’ve worked with appears to work well. No software is perfect and this software isn’t either, but it’s very, very good. I always test it to see if it’s doing what I want it to do. It has passed the test just about every time. Where it hasn’t, I only needed to tweak it a little to get what I wanted out of it. That’s a good software.

God’s words, thoughts..meanings are often taken and fitted into holes that would take squares. Many often take one verse and build an entire belief system around it without any sense of context or application.

This book however, goes one better. A better title would be, Talking with Satan…
If there were ever a bastardization of God’s Holy words and their meanings…this book is it.

For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.

Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”

His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.”

Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive.. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”

So, as my title ask…Are your ears itching..I take that from the following scripture which warns us of this very thing being offered up as something from God.
2 Timothy 4:3……”For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

Got the Kindle yesterday, along with my new cover. I’m already loving it! I was coming from a Sony PRS-505, and did months of research to find the best reader. I looked at the Nook, the Sony Touch and Daily, and even the iPad (more on that later.) The main reason I bought it however, is the ability to use Whispernet in Europe. I travel to Italy 2-3 times a year to see family, and thus I was looking for a device where I could receive the Wall Street Journal to keep up on what’s going on in the U.S.. I mentioned I looked at an iPad. Sure it looks cool, but my primary reason for getting a device to read books is, well, to read books! To get a comparable iPad, I would need the $629 version ($700 with taxes) and a $25 a month data plan from AT&T (which isn’t even unlimited anymore, have you seen how fast the iPad uses data!?). To use it in Europe, I would need to pay $200 (!!!???) for 200MB of data, which would last about 1 day at the most. Another wonderful thing about the Kindle is the size. The iPad weighs 1.5lbs, or about 24ozs, while the Kindle weighs I believe around 12. This makes it extremely easy to carry around. The last thing I absolutely love is WhisperSync. I can read a book on my Kindle, pick up where I left off on my BlackBerry Bold, and even keep reading at the same spot on my laptop!

I really enjoyed reading this book! I was surprised how many times I laughed out loud as I read the story of a man who found himself working in the circus. I highly suggest this book to those that just want to be told a story. No mystery, some romance and lots of laughs and thrills. I will read other books from this author!
