I loved this book from beginning to end. Along with some entertaining history, this is a beautifully woven tale. To my mind, a good novel has unexpected twists and surprises .. and this book carried one beautiful surprise all the way through.
This book stirred in me an affection for elephants that I hadn’t felt since childhood. Along with The Magician’s Elephant by Kate DiCamillo, Water for Elephants helped to inspire the painting “The Gentle Somnambulist” which is included in my book TREASURE Twenty One Paintings and a Key.

Artemis Fowl starts slow, but picks up speed and interest as the book progresses. As a Preteen/Young Adult book it provides a very different type of story written from the villain’s point of view, with side glimpses at the individuals endeavoring to stop him. Readers should be aware that the book does contain some bathroom type humor/situations, cussing in fairy language, and drugs used to sedate, but is an overall clean read.

So I just got a pricey road bike for my birthday, and I bought this lock as I live in Brooklyn and hear about how often people lose their bikes, let alone nice bikes in the area. For the most part it has been a pain, yeah, I have no fear that when I use it the bike isn’t going anywhere, but its like 10 pounds (what is the point of buying an expensive and light bike if you’re going to strap a 10 pound weight to it), it didn’t fit with the holder inside of the bike frame, even after removing my water bottle holder, and carrying it in a bag is a huge pain.

I just bought a cable lock for locking it up while in my in the store, but now I think I’m just going to sell both the locks and get the Kryptonite Mini Evolution lock. I usually only leave the bike for an hour or so, and in broad daylight. If someone is willing to risk using a freon torch to get through the Mini Evolution on a crowded street, then I guess they deserve my bike, and I’ll just cash in on the insurance. Unless you have to keep your bike outside in an urban area everyday, I’d say skip this beast and go with something more portable.

I shudder whenever ANYONE tries to tell us he/she is writing on behalf of God, and in the First Person, no less!

If the author had actually heard from “God” the first thing “God” would have said is, “I have a Name, YHWH (Yahweh); use it! My Son’s given Hebrew Name is Yeshua. Use it!”

Next He would have said something like, “Come out of your paganism and stop trying to put Me into a box. I gave you my Torah (Divine Instructions in Righteousness), so why have you made up your own “holy days” of Christmas and Easter? Why are you not keeping my SEVENTH DAY Sabbath command? What gives YOU the right to ignore my commands?”

This book is full of the AUTHOR’S ideas about who God is. It’s got NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with our REAL Creator! The author is just another Christian trying to make money off a god he invented. Shame on him!

I was skeptical in the beginning but decided to give this a try due to price. Well… I am sure glad I did. There is no difference between the expensive manufacturers cartdidge and this cartridge. With twice the volume of toner than the manufacturers and 1/3 of the price. What a deal! Do your self a favor and buy this toner refill.

I was used to my brother’s Tanita scale, so I was kind of scared to get any other brand of scale only because I never knew how precise or accurate any of the other brands would be. My brother moved and so I had to get my own scale and found this one automatically loved the price. I will admit i was hesitant at first, but have had it for a little over 3 weeks now and its been amazing and always precise on its weighing and does not fluctuate like some other scales I have seen.

This is all you need when traveling either in your own vehicle or rental vehicle. It does not move on the dashboard and is exceptionally stable, holding your Garmin. It can easily be transported in carry on bag. And is easy to hide when exiting your vehicle for extended periods of time. A good bargain. I highly recommend it.

Although this part fixed our inoperable blender it was quite difficult to assemble. My husband, who is very mechanically inclined, had a hard time removing the “melted” coupling in order to replace it with the new one. Fortunately the part did the trick and our blender is up and running again.
